FAQ
How do I maintain my mats?
Mats will absorb oils and become brittle over time. The oils need to be removed or it can severely shorten the life of your mats!
Also, mats need to be properly handled. They will rip when lifted by the last row of holes on an edge (especially if the oils aren’t being removed). Always lift from at least the second row of holes to prevent tearing.
What mats do you recommend?
Do you know that the life expectancy of a grease resistance high rubber content mat doubles the life of a non-grease resistance low rubber content mat?
Mats need to be resistant to grease, temperature, oils, and expansion. Soft and non-grease resistant mats tend to last roughly 24 months. However, high-quality grease resistant mats, treated with our process, average 60 to 72 months! We recommend Cactus Mats because of their top of the line durability and effectiveness.
